Work with us
Join our team as we strive for fair and positive change in the regulation of registered health practitioners for the Australian community
Our small team offers big opportunities
Our office has experienced significant and continued growth in our activities since the Ombudsman and Commissioner roles were first established in 2010.
We have sought to proactively respond to this changing environment by building our team’s capacity to manage an increasing workload. Our response has included:
- recruiting highly qualified and suitably skilled staff in roles developed to address potential pressure points
- developing a positive organisational culture to support staff
- providing appropriate staff training and resources to facilitate efficient and effective complaint handling.
Our office values innovation and all staff are encouraged to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects and learn new skills.
Diversity and inclusion
The department is recognised as a bronze employer for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) workplace inclusion as part of Pride in Diversity’s Australian Workplace Equality Index.
The Aboriginal Staff Support Network brings together Aboriginal staff and experts in a range of key areas relating to Aboriginal health and wellbeing.
The Enablers Network is the Victorian public sector network for people with disabilities. This network represents the needs, interests and concerns of Victorian public sector employees with lived experience of disability, to ensure fair and equitable treatment.
